It’s not just what’s inside the hoagie. it’s everything.

When people think about a great hoagie, they usually start with the obvious.

The meat.

The cheese.

The roll.

And we get it. Those are important.

But at Ron’s Original Bar & Grille, we believe a great hoagie is only as good as every ingredient that goes into it.

That includes the lettuce.

The tomatoes.

The onions.

The long hots.

The little things that are often treated like an afterthought.

Because to us, they aren’t an afterthought.

The Difference Is in the Details

Anyone can put meat and cheese on a roll and call it a hoagie.

But when you take the time to carefully choose every ingredient, source quality produce, and prepare it with the same attention you give the rest of the sandwich, you get something different.

You get a hoagie where every bite matters.

That crisp lettuce isn’t there just to add color.

The tomatoes shouldn’t be an afterthought.

The onions should add the right bite.

And if you’re adding long hots, they better bring the flavor and heat you’re expecting.

At Ron’s, every ingredient has a purpose. And every ingredient has to meet our standards before it makes its way into your meal.

Organic and Local Whenever Possible

We are always looking for ways to source better ingredients for our customers.

Whenever possible, we choose organic and locally grown produce.

Why?

Because supporting local growers and producers matters to us. Fresher ingredients matter to us. Knowing where our food comes from matters to us.

And frankly, we think it should matter.

When we have the opportunity to bring in quality, locally grown produce, we’re going to take it. Not because it’s trendy. Not because it’s a marketing buzzword.

Because it’s the right thing to do.

We want to know that we’re putting the best ingredients we can find on the plates, and in the hoagies, of the people who choose to dine with us.

We Don’t Believe in Shortcuts

Here’s the thing about shortcuts:

Most of the time, customers may never know you took one.

You could use lower-quality produce.

You could buy whatever is cheapest.

You could treat the vegetables as nothing more than something to pile on top of the sandwich.

It would probably save time.

It would probably save money.

But that’s not how we do things around here.

We’ve built our reputation by believing that the details matter, even the ones that might seem small.

Especially the small ones.

Because those little decisions add up.

The quality of the lettuce.

The freshness of the tomatoes.

The flavor of the onions.

The kick of the long hots.

The fresh roll holding it all together.

Each ingredient is one piece of the final product. And if one piece isn’t right, then the hoagie isn’t right.

It’s really that simple.

Great Ingredients Deserve to Be Together

We wouldn’t go out of our way to source fresh, daily-delivered rolls from Corropolese Bakery and then stop caring about what goes inside them.

That wouldn’t make much sense.

Our hoagies start with a fresh roll. Then we layer on quality ingredients and finish them with fresh vegetables selected with the same philosophy we bring to everything else in our kitchen:

If we’re going to serve it, we’re going to take pride in it.

That means paying attention to the ingredients that people notice immediately—and the ones they may not think twice about.

Because we think twice about all of them.

It’s About More Than a Hoagie

At the end of the day, this isn’t really just about lettuce, tomatoes, onions, or long hots.

It’s about how we do business.

It’s about believing that our customers deserve to know that someone cared about what went into their meal.

It’s about supporting local producers whenever we can.

It’s about choosing organic options whenever possible.

And it’s about refusing to take the easy way out simply because no one would notice.

After all, quality isn’t just about the big things.

Quality is in the details.

And at Ron’s, we take pride in every single one.

Because when you order a hoagie from us, you’re not just getting meat, cheese, and a roll.

You’re getting the result of hundreds of decisions we’ve made about the ingredients we serve.

Some of them are obvious.

Some of them are small.

But to us?

None of them are too small to matter.
